The Tie-Off Tele Tree Difference

The Problem

So many times, workers have to decide: should I spend the time to figure out how to tie-off and then go through the extra work to create a tie-off point? Or should I get the work done quickly and move on?

The Solution

The reality is this: Workers will almost always tie-off if the solution and capability are easy, efficient, and right there in front of them. Tie-Off Tele Tree makes tie-offs easy, all before workers’ feet ever leave the floor.

Why I Built This

As they say, see a need and fill a need. Here’s our story…

I was a foreman for a drywall contractor remodeling an active hospital. With 20-30 workers on site working in 6-7 different areas of the hospital, we constantly had to figure out ways to build walls to an airtight structure above.

If you’ve worked in the industry, you know that every worker balances how safely they want to do their work with how efficiently they want to do it. The whole time we were working in that hospital, I found myself wishing there was a better way to do things – both safer and more efficient.

One particular morning, I woke to a text message that stated, “Bad news, I fell last night; I’m in the hospital.” The bottom dropped out of my stomach, and for the next few hours, not being able to get a hold of anyone because they were sleeping, I imagined the worst. Feeling sick and helpless, I eventually came to find out that it was a ground worker who fell from a 6’ ladder, not a worker who fell from 12’-14’ off the floor as I had feared.

The result was a broken arm, and fortunately, nothing worse. That’s where the idea for the Tie-Off Tele Tree came from, the product of that night, never wanting to feel that way again. It could have been so much worse – and Tie-Off Tele Tree is my way to ensure that doesn’t happen.
